Kath Fairburn founded Designer-Gifts to
help you to choose the perfect gift for all
occasions.
From an early childhood she had a passion for
all things visual – even saving product
packaging because of its design. To this day
Kath still has some of her packaging treasures –
the strangest being a box for Ellimans Rub, an
ointment. She can remember being captivated by
the illustration of the horse and the way the
lettering and logo were spaced around it.
Her father died at an early age but would
have loved the fact that she followed his wish
and ‘did something creative’. A background in
graphics led Kath to Advertising Agency life
which in turn led to room-set photography,
photographic styling for magazines and TV, and
these days, a turn-key service for commercial
interior design and trade exhibitions worldwide.
In propping for the rooms and still life sets
she developed a passion for accessories and
followed avidly the trends of the moment, often
recognising today what would become fashionable
six months later. Kath has continued to do so to
this day.
Her ability to predict trends has been put
energetically into the ranges presented on this
site, scouring the wider world for products to
delight and excite.
